I once saw a cow jump.

Not a little hop, an actual leap, high into the air.

I was on a train, staring out at a sea of cows, when one of them caught my eye. I don’t know why.

Something about her.

Like a slightly off colour tile in an old cartoon, you just know it’s about to move.

I could feel it.

She was on the cusp of something.

And then she did it.

A moment later, she soared.

Gracefully. Impossibly. Like a ballerina.

Sure, I could tell you about my comedy show, how it’s really funny, how you should come and see it.

I could mention that I’m a multi award winning comedian, praised for superb joke writing and inspired daftness. But I saw that cow jump, man. And I’m sick of pretending I didn’t.
